Q: Headache & nausea?
I work cleaning rooms so I use alot of chemicalls. At my work, there’s a leaking natural gas pipe. I’m a type one diabetic who got a headache after a low bloodsugar and my bloodsugar is now at a good level. I went for a bikeride. When I drank water the headache got worse and is now acompanied by nausea and fatigue. I’m not at work anymore. I’ve never had a migrain. Why do I have such a terrible headache?

A: if the water was cold it could have to do with a sudden drop in body temp due to you being outside riding your bike in the heat

Q: Headache and nausea before my period what can I do?
For over a year the night before i start my period i get bad cramps, headache, nausea, gas. I’ve tried changing birth control pills. nothing has worked. what can I do?

A: It is all the PMS (Pre Menustral syndromes) and generally most of the women expereince this.

We get cramps because the lining of the uterus releases a substance called prostaglandins. This causes contractions often causes the uterus to go into spasms, which is what causes pain, and may even lead to lightheadedness, dizziness and nausea. Menstrual cramps begin after you have started your period, while pre-menstrual syndrome or PMS starts a few days before your period, and includes mood swings, bloating, nausea, headache and a general feeling of unease and irritability.

What you can do to escape from this – Here are some tips -

Walking -
It may be impossible to walk when you are in the throes of pain, but before the pain begins, it helps if you have been walking around or doing some light exercise. Walking improves circulation to the pelvic organs and reduces muscle tension. Try doing light stretches when the cramps strike. If you are physically fit and exercise regularly, you are less likely to suffer painful periods. This is very important.

Acupressure -
Try applying pressure to the area between the bones between your big toe and the second toe, which is just around a cm below the two toes. This acupressure point is known as Liver 3. Applying pressure here relives menstrual discomfort.

Tea -
Drink a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of turmeric powder (haldi), or ginger tea. These relax uterine muscles and relieve cramping. Similarly, chamomile or mint tea also help reduce pain.

Hot water bottle -
Lie down and place a hot water bottle on your stomach, back or legs, whatever gives you the most relief.

Massage -
If your back hurts during your period, massaging it with eucalyptus oil can be very effective. Similarly, massaging your back, stomach, legs or any body part that hurts with a lotion that contains chamomile or with evening primrose oil can be very effective.

Pill -
The Pill may be a good birth control option for women suffering from severe menstrual cramps, as women on the pill rarely suffer from cramps. But when you get off the pill the cramps return with the same intensity as earlier.

Caffeine -
Cut down your caffeine intake. Too much caffeine can aggravate not just menstrual cramping, but also menopausal hot flashes.

Bath -
Soak yourself in a warm bath for around fifteen minutes. If you don’t have the time to do this, when you do shower, make sure you shower with warm water. Avoid taking a cold shower, as it will aggravate the pain. Similarly, some women report having severe cramps on days they washed their hair so avoid washing your hair on the days of your period that are the most painful for you.

Sex -
If you are susceptible to urinary infections, don’t have sex during your period. The cervix – the opening to the uterus, widens during menstruation, to help blood and uterine tissue flow out. This widening leaves the uterus more vulnerable to infection -

I think these will give you relief- Best wishes. -

Q: when I work underneath a car or sink I get headache, nausea and sweating. Why would this happen?
when I lie down underneath my car to fix it I get a headache, nausea, and sweating. Even when I lie down under a sink to fix it, this happens .Why does this happen? What can I do to prevent this? thank you.

A: Is it only when you lie down to do these activities? Have you noticed that the way you lie down is different when doing these things compared to other things that cause you to lie down? How is your blood pressure btw and have you ever had your thyroid checked out?

Q: What causes severe headache and subsequent nausea?
I am more interested in the medical aspect, what really happens in my body to create this pain. And why does nausea and vomiting come into the picture?

Suffered a splitting headache yesterday which I suspect originated from dehydration after a gym class, but even though I drank loads of water afterwards, the head ache only got worse and I started feeling sick. The headache actually escalated after a few hours. If dehydration was the cause, why didn’t drinking water help?

Thanks for serious answers.

Q: If I have migrain headaches is it possible for the nausea to still accompany the headache no matter how mild?
the pain is and can I still get naueas in between the headaches? Can the nausea last after the headache is gone? Or could I have a stomach flu? Could the stomach flu last for more then a week? Or is it just stress?

A: hi there.. it seems that you need to undergo a general checkup.. just to see if there is something wrong with yourself.. our body is like an engine that needs constant maintenance… the more we neglect to undergo our yearly checkup.. the more it’ll be prone to illness or whatever symptoms… my advice.. please undergo a general check up or an executive checkup…

Q: Is it possible to have nausea, vomiting and headache 10 days after having several teeth pulled?
I had several teeth pulled over 10 days ago and am still having nausea, vomiting and headache. Seven days after the extractions I ended up in the hospital over night dehydrated and my potassium was very low. That was three days ago and I am still sick. I am not taking any pain pills or antibiotics and there is no infection.

A: Possibly a reaction to the anesthetic. You should have been taking an antiemetic. Try Emetrol and take something for the headache. Also report this to your oral surgeon on Monday.

Q: Can a sinus headache just randomly cause nausea?
I’ve had a splitting headache for a few hours, and now I’m feeling very nauseous.

I believe this is a sinus related headache, because I’ve had mild cold symptoms today. . . Have you ever experienced nausea with a sinus headache?

A: Yes it can. Headaches cause nausea on their own, but sinus headaches are caused by a buildup of pressure in the sinus cavities combined with swelling, inflammation, and occasionally infection. If the pressure in the sinus cavities gets great enough to cause pressure on the blood vessels and nerves to the brain, or worse, in the brain itself, nausea is sure to follow. Even without this, the other causes of sinus headaches are prime causes for nausea. Additionally, when a person has sinusitis, they require more fluid than normal, but tend to consume less. Thus, the resulting dehydration may lead to further nausea.

Because you are not entirely sure that this is caused by sinusitis, it is equally possible that you are developing the flu. In either case, you should be proactive. Take a steam bath to clear out and open your sinus cavities, and remove excess mucous before it helps to build an infection. You may want to take a de-congestant like Musinex DM or Sudafed D. If you develop a fever, or stay sick for more than a week, go to see a doctor, you may have developed an infection, or caught the flu.

Q: Headache, Sore Throat, Nausea and 32 weeks pregnant, What do I do?
I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant. I just started getting a sore throat, headache, and minor nausea since this morning. I’ve taken Tylenol and it doesn’t help anything. I believe that soon a fever is going to come because I’m starting to get the muscle aches and the dizziness. What should I do?

A: Call your doctor asap. Any kind of sickness you have your baby has too. Its always better to be safe than sorry.

Q: Stomach and Back cramps, nausea, headache, very tired. I had my period for 3 days but very light what is it?
OK last night I had terrible back and stomach crapms. This morning nausea, headache, just “bad” feeling” anyone have any idea what this could be? There is a chance I could be prego (getting married next month yay) but just got off my perion (well all 3 days of it)
No, this is not normal for me @ all. I never feel bad during my period.

A: You could be prego.. but the nausea symptoms don’t start till after 4-6 weeks of being prego. Is this something that happens often before or after your period? You should add more detail to the question. But if I were you I just get a pregnancy test just to make sure, and if that’s not it then it was just your period causing that. I symptoms like that during my period.

Q: What perfume gets you sick you know nausea, headache, and a funny feeling on your tongue?
Women’s Escape all symtems mentioned.

A: escape does that to me as well……. on mothers day my boys took me to the zoo, we had not been there in years, and this woman, had escape on and it seems we could not get away from her! it just reeked!my head starting pounding, my mouth was so dry, my eyes started to water it was awful….. finally we got out of route of her and if she thought she smelled nice…. i would have put her in the cage with the other animals it was that bad!!!!!

Q: Why do some perfumes cause headache, nausea and even sudden paleness to me while others seem to?
love them.
Isn’t that weird

A: The same thing happens to me. I think it’s because of the chemicals that they use to create the different scents. Different scents are created using different chemicals, and I think some people are sensitive to some of those chemicals. I’ve noticed that flowery scents give me headaches, but citrus scents don’t. I figure they’re going to use some different chemicals making flowery scents than when they make citrus scents.
